Pursuing the Whimsicals is a purposefully broad and unclear title to create the sense of a fantastical journey. Whimsicals is a made up category of fantasy creatures - trolls, fairies, centaurs, cryptids, giants, wizards, and any creature a story can contain. These creatures can be good or evil, horrifying or captivating, simple or complex. I enjoy telling stories through the lens of a movie score, focusing more on the atmosphere and landscape than a strict narrative. This composition constantly moves, just like a character in a fantasy world. The scenes change rapidly, ensuring a thrilling and engaging tale. The middle section is slow and intimate - a chance for the character to look around at the serene world and rest for a while. This rest doesn’t last long because unlike the character, the Whimsicals don’t take breaks.
